Dave Rees serves as Controller of NAI Platform Realty Group, Albany's full-service commercial real estate brokerage and property management firm. He brings more than two decades of financial leadership experience to the role, overseeing all financial operations across the company's brokerage and property management divisions — from financial reporting and budgeting to commission administration, bank reconciliations, and regulatory compliance.
A pragmatic and hands-on finance leader, Dave has built his career managing the financial health of organizations ranging from Fortune 500 companies to startups and turnaround situations. His expertise spans financial statement preparation and analysis, budgeting and variance analysis, cash flow modeling, policies and procedures development, and employee benefit plan management.
Prior to joining NAI Platform in 2022, Dave served as Director of Finance at 4Cite Marketing, a Merkle Company, where he spent over a decade developing financial models, implementing expense-saving initiatives, and supporting the company through a successful private equity acquisition. Earlier in his career, he served as General Manager of Capital Repertory Theatre during a pivotal organizational transition, and held Controller positions at Solomon and Solomon, PC and a Capital Region financial services firm.
Dave earned his MBA in Finance and his Bachelor of Science in Accounting from Clarkson University. He is also an active community member, having volunteered with the Boy Scouts of America for seven years as a Den Leader, Troop Treasurer, and Personal Management Counselor on the Eagle Scout path.
